Not since Tiger King graced Netflix has a show been so avidly discussed in the GLAMOUR office. With its high octane glamour, property porn and the kween that is Christine Quinn, Selling Sunset is the best thing on TV right now.
Whilst we await season 4 (please make it happen, Netflix!), another show looks set to fill the void that Selling Sunset left in our drama-thirsty hearts.
Million Dollar Beach House, which lands on Netflix on August 26, is basically Selling Sunset but in uber luxe Hamptons where they sell multi-million dollar listings on the east side of Long Island, New York.
The show follows the drama-hungry and glamorous real estate agents working at Nest Seekers International brokerage and the main difference between this show and Selling Sunset is that the cast are mostly (easy on the eye) guys. But just because Christine isn’t in the cast doesn’t mean there’s a lack of drama; as the trailer suggests, things look spicy.
So what can we expect? Well, according to Netflix: “The competition is fierce — and the drama undeniable — as a group of young and hungry agents try to seal the deal on luxury listings in the Hamptons.
“Million Dollar Beach House is a bird’s eye view into the day-to-day life of the Hampton’s youngest and most exclusive group of real estate agents, documenting their private lives and posh coastline listings.
“With 2,500 realtors working the Hamptons market, earning a listing is fierce competition. Nest Seekers reps to-die-for, multi-million-dollar properties and not without personal drama between agents. Throughout the series, five brokers hustle from Memorial Day to Labor Day to buy and sell properties for their clients.
“From appeasing sellers who are unhappy with home staging to cutthroat open houses where agents are going after each other’s clients, Million Dollar Beach House has all the views, all the schmooze, and brokers with a lot to lose.”
